Penonome Independence Parades, rainy day
Panama towns and cities hold their Independence Parades in November. There are 3 days of parades, Independence from Spain, Independence from Colombia and National Flag day that are held throughout the country.
2 of these parades take place early November and 1 towards the end of the month. During the weeks following the National parades each town also holds it’s own foundation parade, where the bands and teams from other towns are in attendance.
These shots are from the foundation parade in Penonome, which suffered it’s usual November downpour. These folks don’t stop just for a little water, they just keep on with their marchpast. If they can get wet, then so can I. Sorry about the water splashes on the lens.
